The J's Hospice provides hospice and respite care services to young adults aged 16-40 who are living with life limiting and life threatening conditions including cancer, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Juvenile Huntington's disease, cystic fibrosis and many more. These are complex conditions that, in most cases, will lead to the young adult experiencing severe disability.
Good care and symptom control is vital to improving health and wellbeing and can help prevent distressing emergency admissions to hospital. Our team has the experience and the expertise to support a young adult's medical needs in combination with all the other issues and difficulties that the whole family may experience.
We provide our hospice and respite care services for young adults throughout Essex in the patients' own homes.
We want young adults to live the best possible quality of life, as independently as they can, as well as supporting them and their families at the end of life.
