The J’s Hospice charity relies on the generosity of the general public for 70% of our income. With your help, we can continue to provide hospice care, respite care and support to young adults with life limiting conditions and their families across Essex.

There are many ways – big or small – that you can help with our fundraising including:

- taking part in our events

- organising your own event

- taking on a sporting challenge

- setting up a fundraising group

- adopting us as your organisation’s chosen charity

- filling a collection tin with loose change

- donating items to be sold in our charity shop

- recycling jewellery, phones and small printer cartridges

Our events

We arrange events throughout the year that we would love you and your family, friends and colleagues to be part of. If you are a keen cyclist, enjoy a quiz night, like singing carols or want to help us as a volunteer, we have an event for you!

For more information, please visit our Events page or phone our Fundraising Team on 01245 475474 .

Organise your own event

Why not get together with your family and friends to raise money for The J’s Hospice? You could hold a ‘Cuppa and a Cake’ coffee morning or cake sale. Perhaps you want to organise a sponsored silence or chest wax or ask your local pub to host a quiz night or a raffle?

Sporting challenges

We organise the Pedal for The J’s cycle ride and the Chelmsford Marathon and 5K. There are many other challenges in the UK and overseas that you can take on to raise money for us. Would you like to do a parachute jump, a half-marathon through the streets of London, a trek through the mountains of Peru or a cycle ride from London to Paris?

Set up a fundraising group

If you have a group of friends who would like to help you raise money for The J’s Hospice, you could set up a Fundraising Group. It’s a great way to get together and have fun while raising money for a good cause. We can give you lots of fundraising ideas and one of our Ambassadors would love to visit your group and talk about our work.
